Besides nursing myself back to good health, I've been spending a lot of time working on the new design of this website, doing some research, and getting the word out about the website. In other words, I've been doing a lot of behind the scenes work and not as much writing. Now that I'm pretty satisfied with how everything looks, I can get back to what I enjoy so much, writing.
I know that when I start my life coaching business that I'm going to have to settle on a design with continuity. For now, though, I can play around with different designs and decide which one is going to grab someone's attention the most. I'm not sure this one is it, but I do like it and so I'm going with it . . . for now. I'm also working on designing my first logo for my business. That is a really fun process. I enjoy creating and seeing what I can come up with that I like. I will unveil it soon.
It was hard for me to take my rest day today. I went to my chiropractor, and I always workout at my favorite Anytime Fitness that's close by. I like the vibe of that place and how hard everyone works out there. However, my body told me to take the day of rest that was coming to me. After leg day on Saturday in the weight room and then a 7-mile tempo run yesterday, my legs were pretty shot. So, I listened. I let my chiropractor work his magic on my foot and back, and then I came home. It was so hard to drive by the gym though. I was a little sad, sigh.
In the next few weeks, I'm going to do some research on what it would take to start my life coaching business. I have some ideas in mind, but I want to know if I'm on the right track. I'm also going to be searching for a mentor to help me get started. The problem is that people don't often want to help unless they are getting paid for it. So, I have to find someone who wants to help just because he/she wants to see someone enter the field. We'll see if I can find that person.
I'm so excited! My website has seen more traffic the last three days thanks to friends who have spread the word for me. I put a plug in on Facebook to check it out, and a couple of friends responded. One asked me to post it as a link so she could share it on her timeline. Another friend has offered to help me do an ad so I get even more hits. I've only had one comment so far, but it meant so much to me because it was from my youngest sister, Sara. My younger sister Amy gave me props on her timeline. My family being there for me makes me feel like I can do anything. I'm looking forward to getting feedback to continue to make this website grow and be successful.
I'm a lover of life, an eternal optimist, and I have an intense desire to add value through simple living and positive vibes.
