On the first day of Christmas...the theme of the next 12 blogs will be to do a blog a day focusing on the simple things I appreciate from each day.
Today was my first official first day of break, and I opted to get up relatively early (6:30) and out the door so that I could pick up ingredients for my baking and also to get the last few Christmas gifts.
I enjoyed a morning of baking and gift wrapping. I listened to Christmas music and a couple of podcasts. It was relaxing, because there were no time constraints. I didn't have to be done by a certain time. I made sure to focus on one task before moving on to something else. I made one kind of cookie and then went to the next one. When I finished baking, I washed dishes and then I wrapped the last few gifts.
I have a sense of peace and contentment, because I didn't go into a frenzy to try to do everything at once. It's now around 2:30, and I'm enjoying a cup of coffee.
Today's nugget: Focus on one task at a time.
I'm a lover of life, an eternal optimist, and I have an intense desire to add value through simple living and positive vibes.
