Those who watched the TCU vs. Oregon Valero Alamo Bowl saw an incredible game.
You could look at it as a tale of two halves as Oregon scored 31 points in the first half, and TCU scored 31 points in the second half to send the game into what would end up being triple overtime and a win for the TCU Horned Frogs.
You could look at it as an epic comeback or an epic meltdown, depending on your perspective.
Or, you could look at it like I did as a tale of not giving up and taking the game one play at a time. That's what I took away from it. It felt like a microcosm of how we can go about our daily lives and achieving goals.
Sometimes a goal can seem completely out of reach (like being down 31 points at halftime), but if we plug away at at it one day at a time and focus on smaller, bite size portions (like a 31 point comeback) then we can eventually see that the bigger picture is not quite so overwhelming.
Lesson Learned: Instead of getting overwhelmed by the big picture, take a big goal one step at a time.
