I laugh when I think about the fact that I became a coffee drinker five years ago, which is when I became a professional school counselor. I guess I need that extra kick in the morning until I have the energy on my own (which is usually around 10:00).
However, I'm a picky coffee drinker. I don't want to taste the coffee too much. I need more creamer than actual coffee taste. To the real coffee connoisseurs out there, I'm a fraud. I am who I am. No apologies or excuses.
Then there's hot tea. A cup of hot tea anytime during the day is refreshing and warms my soul. Right now I'm enjoying green tea with freshly squeezed lemon. When it's cold outside, it can't be beat. I don't want a heavy drink. I want something warm and soothing. It's way more healthy and natural (compared to the way I drink my coffee).
I also find hot tea to be relaxing. If I've had a stressful day, I find it drains the tension away. When I take a drink, it slowly goes down my throat. It's like I can feel it traveling all the way down to my stomach. It's as if I've wrapped a blanket around my insides.
Don't tell coffee, but tea is my one and only true love.
I'm a lover of life, an eternal optimist, and I have an intense desire to add value through simple living and positive vibes.
