I am a MOTB. I will only be one for 307 more days. I will only be one once in my life. So, I'm taking this job pretty seriously. You see, I am the Mother Of The Bride (MOTB).
I have been excited for my daughter Jaelyn and her fiancee Beau since they got engaged at the end of November. They have gotten so much done to prepare for their big day already.
Today was another step in that direction. We went to a bridal fair today and had a wonderful time. She signed up for some giveaways, we sampled some cake, and we picked up some decorating ideas.
But today was about more than that. It was also the realization that my little girl isn't my little girl anymore. She's a beautiful, talented, and vibrant young woman who is about to take the biggest step of her life when she walks down the aisle to marry the man who is meant for her.
It hit me today that she's taking this next step, and even though I'm so thrilled for her, I'm a little overwhelmed and a little emotional. So, here's to being the MOTB.
I'm a lover of life, an eternal optimist, and I have an intense desire to add value through simple living and positive vibes.
