I had example this weekend of just how much a positive attitude affects what you can do. Yesterday I went to the gym and I had six miles to complete. I hate running on the treadmill, but it was too cold to be outside for a run for me. So, I begrudgingly got on and started my light run. After two miles, I will completely grumpy and it was agonizing. I ended up cutting the workout short. I should have finished on a different piece of cardio equipment, but I was so negative that I just left completely disgruntled. So, today I had 13 miles of cross-training to do. Once again, I went to the gym but I was ready to tackle it and was pumped. I had a plan in place for the pieces of cardio equipment I would use and for how long. It went like clockwork. I even did the last mile on the treadmill, and today it was a piece of cake. It just goes to show how your mindset affects your performance. I definitely learned a valuable lesson.
I'm a lover of life, an eternal optimist, and I have an intense desire to add value through simple living and positive vibes.
